Aakash Chopra has expressed apprehension about the current batting form of Babar Azam, the captain of the Pakistan cricket team.

The former Indian opener voiced his concerns as Pakistan faced a setback in their first World Cup match against the Netherlands, losing their initial three batters within the first Powerplay and amassing a mere 38 runs.

While talking on his YouTube channel, Chopra highlighted Babar’s struggle with the bat, emphasizing that his last significant innings dated back to August against Nepal.

“Let’s be fair, even Babar Azam’s last big knock came against Nepal. That was August, September had not even started. Babar Azam has also not scored runs since then,” Chopra said.

Pakistan captain has scored a total of 61 runs in his last four ODI innings after his 151-run knock against Nepal. However, he did score 80 and 90 runs against New Zealand and Australia in World Cup warm-up matches, respectively.
